After you choose which categories you're an Expert in on your profile, the Answers staff will review your Expert statement, and make you an Expert in the categories for which you qualify. If you aren't sure, please message a Community Assistant, such as myself.
On your profile choose Following. On the black top bar, top right, click the small white pencil. That opens the categories. Click categories, then Next which opens the Expert Statement boxes. Type expert qualifications. Save after typing in the statements.

These categories are basically self explanatory and are used much as a companies mission statement is used. These are things that the CIA strives to include in it's daily operations.
