Abandoning ageing parents means you don't care for them any more. Remember age is synonymous with sickness. If they're sick, and abandoned, then that means if there is no local council help for the aged, then you've probably left them to die. The repercussion is you'll be miserable when you're aged too, as no one will care because no one saw you cared for an aged parents. If care is not taken, you might be miserable all your life. This is a common practice in the developed world as people leave their parents to pursue careers. At some point, they feel that no one loves them and begin to realise that anyone around them only cares when they can pay for any service. I'm sorry, but this is just my opinion.
