Could be from,Low on coolant (leak in system),
Faulty thermostat,
Restricted air flow through radiator,
Restricted coolant flow inside radiator,
Faulty fan clutch,
Missing or broken fan shroud,
Bad head gasket,
Bad water pump (rare),
Faulty coolant temp sensor (with electric fans),
Faulty electric fan motor(s) (with electric fans),
Faulty electric fan relay(s) (with electric fans),
Blown electric fan fuse,
Several issues could be related to coolant:
The fan may be another issue. For mechanical fans, you could be looking at a faulty fan clutch, a loose or slipping fan belt, damaged fan fins, poorly fitted or damaged fan shroud. For electronic fans, could be damaged fan blades, bad fan motors, or a fault in the circuit.
There are several things that can cause transmission overheating. One of the most common causes is overloading or overworking a system.
overheating of the fluid. This causes the transmission to slip. Slipping causes damage as friction material wears out quickly and even more overheating. This eventually causes failure.
