El Patron rules Opium, the land separating Mexico and the US. El Patron makes eejits who are pretty much Zombies with computer chips in their brains. Matt goes from a little house in a poppy field to be the ruler of Opium. He becomes ruler after El Patron dies and he destroys the whole opium land.
