they like hockey and hurling
they say eh a lot
they're nice people
they like maple syrup
Okay buddyn maybe Canadians are kinda nice, but being Canadian I havn't heard someone say EH! In like 10 years. Canadians are just like all regular north americans. We don't live in igloo's either we live in coty's JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

Personally, I dont like to hurl, i dont even like curling for that matter. Yes we canadians do say eh but its just out of habit. We say eh for the same reason that australians say mate. Not everyone likes maple syrup sometimes it can be quite sweet although a little is good although i just want to say that we try our best to present ourselves as nice people. Thanks for noticing :)
Canadians are very proud and tend to take offence to things like the above. Also, to be mistaken for American because we are not american. We are CANADIAN!!!
Please take care next time when you assume things that may or may not be true about Canadians. Not everyone here likes mape syrup just like everyone in your country likes potatoes? It just doesnt work out like that. Not everyopne can like the same things.
Something not mentioned here is that Canada is very bilingual. Many people come to live here, because it is a nice place to live, and yes, 'politeness' and 'kindness' are both very important traits in Canada. Some people that are not Canadian may even pretend to be Canadian when they travel, just so that people will treat them better. Personally, I think that is a bit wrong. Be who you are! We Canadians don't be nice to get treated nicely. I guess we do it because it seems right and important. One more thing: not everyone in Canada plays hockey or curling. Soccer, Basketball, volleyball, cricket, Badminton...people play them too!
PS: Did you mean "curling" not "hurling"?
