It is widely varied from the hobbyist, through subsistence, commercial and corporate, but the most charming and picturesque is that practiced by the "Pennsylvania Dutch", the Shakers and the Amish. Horse Farms abound as do wineries and commercial goat dairy farms that expand the variety within the state. Tobacco is still grown in the state as well as other more traditional crops.

AnswerPennsylvania ranks number one in the production of mushroom nationally, but other important crops include wheat, barley, & potatoes. Pennsylvania also grows apples, cherries, peaches and grapes. And corn, where I live there's definitely corn. Oh and animal-wise: livestock accounts for 69% of Pennsylvania farm income.

They are the largest producer of mushrooms in the US and also produce corn(large feilds in bloomsburg) and grapes.
