The primary rights of US citizens are summarized in the first ten amendments of the Constituion. These are commonly referred to as the Bill of Rights. These rights include freedom of speech, religion and assembly. The right to bear arms. The right to a jury trial by his or her peers. Freedome from illegal search and seizure. Freedom from self-incrmination. Later amendments to the consitution eliminated slavery and granted women the right to vote.
