Roman Catholic AnswerThere is no way to compare Christianity and Catholicism as they are one and the same thing.
Pantheism is a philosophy where God is manifested in the universe, and that all creation is a part of God.
There were several differences, but the main difference was that the ancient Romans practiced pantheism, which is the worship of many gods, while Christianity taught monotheism, which is the worship of one God. Christianity, once it got a foothold, was united in it's beliefs (at least for the most part), while the Roman beliefs were personal and adhered to no formal doctrine. There were several differences, but the main difference was that the ancient Romans practiced pantheism, which is the worship of many gods, while Christianity taught monotheism, which is the worship of one God. It all depends on what you mean by "religion". In the old days before Christianity there were very few actual religions in the sense that a lifestyle or code of conduct was followed. Most religious beliefs were those of pantheism wherein people venerated a certain god for a certain reason. The Romans practiced pantheism as did all the other ancient peoples, the Jews excepted. Christianity became established as the official Roman religion in the year 380 AD.
You will have to be more specific about the time you are asking about as Rome had at least two official state religions. One was pantheism and the other Christianity. Pantheism consisted of the worship of multi-gods while Christianity was monotheistic, the worship of only one god.
Pantheism is a really big word that I don't know the meaning of. (you got rick rolled)
PANTHEISM
Pantheism is the belief that everything in the universe is divine and interconnected. It views the universe or nature as a manifestation of the divine, and does not distinguish between a personal God and the natural world. Pantheists often see divinity in all living beings and inanimate objects.
