I had it done in October of 2006. C5 & 6 were removed and replaced with discs from a cadaver. The surgery took about 8 hours, I was in neurological ICU for 6 days and recovery was 8 weeks in a very unattractive neck brace. Best thing I have ever done, no regrets!
