Both Baling Soda and Bicarbonate of soda are chemically sodium bicarbonate or sodium hydrogen carbonate (NaHCO3). Baking powder is different as it has a acid salt added to the mixture. The same compound may be sold as baking soda, bread soda, cooking soda, bicarbonate of soda.
There is absolutely no difference. They are just two separate terms for the same compound. Baking soda is its common name and bicarbonate of soda is closer to its IUPAC official name, which is sodium bicarbonate.
Baking soda is bicarbonate of soda, which is also baking bicarbonate. There is no difference.
That's not to be confused with baking powder, which is different.
Carbonate is the COโยฒโป ion; bicarbonate is the HCOโโป ion, also called the โhydrogen carbonateโ ion. Thus sodium carbonate is NaโCOโ and sodium bicarbonate is NaHCOโ.
Bicarbonate of soda and baking soda are the same thing. If you are referring to baking powder, please check the provided link which explains the difference between baking soda and baking powder, and what happens if you use them together.
