What is the major difference between elementary school and middle school?

There is a big difference. In elementary school you have to go to art, music, and P.E, but in middles school you have to go to just P.E and you get to choose 1 elective, sport, and language to learn/study. Also in elementary school you have recces but in middle school you dont have recces.

Elementary school is usually pre-k or kindergarten to 5th grade (or 6th grade depending on the school ). It is also reffered as grade school from time to time.

Middle school is usually 6th grade to 8th grade (or 7th to 8th grade. Again, it depends. Sometimes it can also be 7th to 9th grade.). Middle school can also be referred as junior high.

Basically the only difference is that these grade groups are separated for a smaller learning enviornment. :).

Not much difference. Just the type of school they administer. Middle schools are different in character than an elementary school. The students are older and they have a different set of problems than the elementary student. Some problems do cross boundaries, but middle school student's face a transition from childhood to the teen years. This takes a special type of person to teach and administer the middle school.

Secondary school is the progression from primary school. It is or it should be more rigorous and challenging of your intellect as you continue to develop into an adult.

really nothing. except it used to be jus junior high and that included the grades 8th and 9th.
