In England, modern monks and nuns follow a much less intense daily routine and very few celebrate the night Office as it was in the medieval period. Historically, monks and nuns got up from their beds at around midnight or 2 am for Matins and Lauds before returning to bed and rising again for Prime at around 6 am. Today monks and nuns enjoy much more sleep and are generally not expected to rise until early morning.
Another change is that modern English Offices (church services) are in English, where historically services were entirely in Latin.
Modern monks and nuns have access to the internet and many monastic communities produce and sell a variety of commodities, from honey to ale and mead; the Internet is used to promote this commercial aspect of their work.
Silent contemplation, prayer and periods of manual work still apply in most monasteries.
In my own experience of meeting Benedictine monks in Holland and the USA, there is today almost no concept of humility and adhering to the precepts of the Rule of St Benedict; a medieval monk would be shocked and outraged at the aggressive, opinionated and selfish attitudes displayed by some of their modern brethren.

Monks lived in an abbey or priory (headed by an Abbot or Prior); nuns lived in a nunnery or convent headed by an Abbess or Prioress.
Pope Clergy monks Kings Nobles
They attended Mass several times a day, cooked, cleaned, gardened, read and wrote out copies of books.
They were the same thing. Medieval means of the Middle Ages.
Monks were around for every single year of the Medieval Age. There were also monks in late Roman times, and there are still monks in modern times. Monks have been around for a good long while, and not all of them were Medieval. * The Medieval Age lasted from the 5th Century to the 15th.

No, obviously. Medieval times ended hundreds of years ago and people, monks included just don't live that long.

Rarely. Most of them were monks anyway. If one of them sucked at his job he was simply put to work in another field.
Nuns were more likely to be cloistered in their monasteries with very little contact with the outside world. As a group, monks had more freedom to live a secular kind of life if they wished.
There is nothing different between todays castles and medieval time castles. Today's castles were built in medieval times.
People learnt music in medieval times by memory. Monks would learn chants and minstrels made up songs. A monk chant that I can play from memory is Salva Nos.
