on July 1969 we set foot on the moon and created seismic waves (moon quakes) that lasted over an hour that would have lasted only 20-30 seconds on earth(earthquakes). So seismic waves last way longer on the Moon then on Earth.
This knowledge is based on the behavior of seismic waves, particularly the behavior of P-waves and S-waves. S-waves are unable to travel through liquids, and this particular wave trait indicates a boundary between the solid mantle and the liquid outer core. The boundary between the inner core and outer core is also detected by a difference in velocities of P-waves. The Earth's magnetic field also originates in the liquid outer core by the movement and currents of molten metal in this layer. Scientific experiments have revealed that with the calculated density of the Earth, despite the incredible temperatures, the inner core should remain solid due to the massive pressures there. As S-Waves do not propagate through the outer core a "shadow" zone is created on the other side of the earth from the source of seismic waves. In this zone no S-waves are detected.
Those devices are called Seismometer's. They are used to measure seismic shockwaves ( earthquake's)
Eluviation is the movement of the particles (such as minerals and organic matter) into lower soil horizons. Then Illuviation is the accumulation of those particles in the lower soil horizons.
These waves are slower than those that originate at the focus.
Earthquakes earthquakes occur when energy stored in elastically strained rocks is suddenly released. This release of energy causes intense ground shaking in the area near the source of the earthquake and sends waves of elastic energy, called seismic waves, throughout the Earth. Earthquakes can be generated by bomb blasts, volcanic eruptions, and sudden slippage along faults. Earthquakes are definitely a geologic hazard for those living in earthquake prone areas, but the seismic waves generated by earthquakes are invaluable for studying the interior of the Earth.
It relates to earthquakes or other tremors in the earth, such as those caused by large explosions
Get rid of the differences between those who owned property and those who did not. - Apex
what were the main differences between hunter gather societies and those based primarily on agriculture
one of those
two differences between the muscle fibres of a world class sprinter and those of a marathon runner
. . the closest between those two choices is . . . Earth.
There is not really a diffrents between those because there the same thing
They are smaller in magnitude than those between lower energy levels.
probably their size and how much they eat. It depends from animal to animal but those are probably the biggest differences.
The speed of the waves depends on the density of the material.
here are two types of seismic waves, body wave and surface waves. Other modes of wave propagation exist than those described in this article, but they are of comparatively minor importance for earth-borne waves, although they are important in the case of asteroseismology.
