The HDD on a PS3 uses a standard laptop harddrive and for under $100 any PS3 model can be upgraded to 1 TB. Amazon has the one I used without problem for under $80. It was the 1TB WD Blue 5400 RPM 2. 5-inch SATA hard drives from Western Digital. I have over 150 games stored and room for at least another 100 if I do not get the huge 12 GB + game bundles
