Lords had to watch over the peasants, ladies had to cook and clean, knights had to protect the lords and peasants had to work for the lords.
If they were peasants they worked for a lord

Good question. Chivalry comes from the french word for horse riding. It is also where we get the word cavalier. So Chivalry used to mean some one who was good at horse riding/combat. So Chivalry does not really exist as some written code like say Bushido did. If I had to define what it chivalry was. It was more or less what you lord told you it was or what people found "desirable" in a knight. Think "oh this knight is real brave courageous and loyal to his lord he is Chivalrous". See the video the TRUTH about chivalry byShadiversityon YouTube.
Well, 'false'.......like so many songwriters after them, they tended to idealize the pure and unselfish love of women. Moreover, the 'courtly love' that minstrels sang about was by definition not about sex, but about the finer feelings that love was supposed to awaken in knights, kings and noble ladies. And just as we like today to see movies about all-conquering superheroes, the people of the middle ages liked their knights fearless and victorious. And several of them actually were.

They were to keep an eye out for the king. The lords and ladies hired knights and gave money to the king when needed.
Kings and queens were at the top. After them were lords and ladies. Then came knights and vassals. The lowest class was made up of peasants and serfs

Lady Peasants is a contradictory term. Ladies were not peasants and peasants were not ladies. A lady was a woman of high rank who had servants to do things for her. Female peasants did their own washing, cleaning, cooking, and sewing, and sometimes manual labor in the fields and shops. They spun their own yarn and wove their own cloth. There was little leisure time for them. Ladies had troubadours and minstrels to entertain them with songs of courtly love.
