Air Guns that are made in Shanghai are produced under different names. I own two that carry the name "Industry" on them. Many are referred to as the Chinese models like the B1-1, B2-2, B3-3. These rifles are usually cheap and the quality is a lot less than the better known names like RWS, Crosman and Gamo. Even American Manufactures have some of their guns made in China. I suggest that you look at the specks or box that the gun comes in to see where it was made. I'm not saying that all Chinese guns are bad some are very good. But if you purchase a cheap air gun, well that's what you get

Does mass of pellet affect accuracy in BB gun?

Lets clear a few things up first: (1) There are BB only guns. (2) Combination BB and Pellet guns and (3) Pellet only guns. (1) BB only guns: These guns and rifles have a smooth bore barrel. The BB tumbles as it is fired from the gun. The BB can wonder off target easily because it doesn't spin, so it travels all over the place. (2) BB & Pellet rifles and guns: These guns usually have a rifled bore barrel. (Groves in the barrel) this makes the soft Pellets spin as it is fired and will fly straighter than a hard BB fired from the same barrel. (3) Pellet only guns & rifles: These guns use a rifled bore barrel and are designed to spin the pellet as it is fired. As a result it travels further and straighter that a BB. Of the 3 different types, Pellet only guns are usually the most powerful. BB's are .175 Caliber and made of a hard material. Pellets are .177 caliber and are made of a softer material. The skirt, on the back of the pellet, is designed to catch the grooves in the barrel, in turn this makes the pellet spin as it leaved the barrel and fly straighter. Pellets fired through a smooth bore BB barrel will not effect the gun or rifle but BB's fired through a Pellet only gun will damage the groves over time and destroy the accuracy of the gun or rifle. The Heaver the pellet mass, the slower it will fly, but the straighter it will fly and have more knock-down power than a light pellet.

What is the legal velocity of a 177 pellet?

This all depends on the country where you live. Most of Europe and Canada have limits on the speed that a pellet can be fired. Their rifles and guns are made differently. In the USA there is no limit on the speed of the pellet. Pellets fired at 1200 Feet Per Second is not uncommon.

What is the difference between a pellet gun and a bb gun?

Both a pellet gun and a BB gun are similar in appearance But here is the main difference. Most BB guns have a smooth bore barrel. The BB just tumbles as it flies through the air. BB guns are not very accurate. The BB also doesn't deform when it hit the target. It's a very poor choice for hunting small game. However they are fun and inexpensive to shoot. Most will not attain a speed of much more than 400 feet per second (FPS.) Pellet guns use several different shape pellets. Some are for target shooting some are for hunting and other uses. Pellet guns usually have a rifled barrel (One with grooves in it.) This causes the pellet to spin as it travels to the target. This spinning make it more accurate just like a real bullet. The pellet is made of a softer material than BB's and when they strike the target they deform causing more damage to the target. They are ideal for hunting small game like rodents and birds. Pellet guns can attain a speed of over 600 FPS and pellet rifles can reach speeds of over 1,200 FPS. BB are .175 or .177 Caliber. Pellets come in .177, .20, .22, .25, 9mm, 45 Cal and 50 Cal. The last 3 LARGE calibers are used the PCP guns and Rifles (PreCharged Pneumatic air guns) They are capable of bringing down a moose. However PCP guns and rifles are very expensive. Pellet guns are less expensive and BB guns are the least expensive. Now don't confuse BB Air guns with Air Soft guns. They both shoot BB's but air guns shoot steel BB that are small and Air soft guns shoot plastic 6mm BB's. Air soft guns are considered toys while air guns are not. An Air gun is a gun so handle it with safety in mind. == ==

What is the best pistol bb gun?

Your question is about Pistol BB guns, so I am not going to include rifles or Pellet guns. I'm also not including Airsoft. First of all there is no BEST BB gun but there are quite a few choices of excellent BB guns. I like BB guns that have a good solid feel. These are usually made of Metal or Polymer plastic. I don't like plastic BB guns. I also like BB guns that have Blowback when they fire. I own over 30 different BB & pellet guns so I have a good Idea of the feel and differences in the models. One of my favorites is the Walter PPK/s. It's not that expensive but it has a great feel. It is an exact copy of the real Walter PPK that was made famous by James Bond as his personal handgun. It has Blowback and cost around $60. (See the link below) There are other excellent BB guns available but there is something you might want to know. BB guns are not as accurate as pellet guns and are only accurate up to 15 to 20 feet. Pellet guns are usually more accurate over a long distance. I usually tell people the best BB gun is the one you can afford. See the link Below

Parts for JC Higgins single shot 22 pellet gun?

It would help if you stated the model of the pellet gun you need parts for. I can tell you this much. Both Daisy and Crosman made pellet guns for Sears under the JC Higgins brand name. If you want to try to locate a repair shop that restores old pellet guns I suggest to look on the web under "Air Gun Repair." and locate someone who repairs older pellet guns. Or you can re-post your question with the model number it will start with one of two sets of numbers like 799 or 126. This will identify it as either a Daisy or a Crosman air gun. Crosman offers a locater service to repair older guns. (If yours is a Crosman.) It's up to you how you want to find parts.
