There are a number of different modules of memory also known as Ram.
These are SDram (this has 2 slots on the memory chip. One in the middle, the other at the end)
DDR Ram (This has 1 slot, directly in the middle)
DDRII Ram, This has 1 slot, in a slightly different place from the middle)
RAMBUS. (This has 2 slots, again in the middle)
Each type of ram, has different speeds of running.
Example, SDRam the speeds are 66, 100 & 133 Mhz
DDR, 2100, 2700, 3200 Mhz
DDRII, 4200, 5400, 6400, 7200Mhz
Rambus 400, 800Mhz
Hope this helps
Be safe
SDRAM, DDR and Rambus DRA, are the three different types of RAM packages. When shopping for different RAM packages, the type of RAM you purchase does not really matter.
it has the word "Flash" before Ram
A computer will not accept a new RAM that has a different voltage than the factory installed RAM cards.
no it can not..2 different sticks of ram
Depending on what your motherboard can handle, all the RAM (regardless of clockspeed) will clock to the same speed.
YES
There are many different kinds of RAM. Ram is not related to the operating system. It is related to the motherboard. You need RAM that is compatible with your motherboard. When you do that XP or any other operating system will run.
Unless you are using onboard (Motherboard) graphics they are totally different
No, plugs are different. No, plugs are different.
The different types of computer architecture makes it important to have different types of RAM that suit them. The architecture may be on the number of bits that the motherboard supports.
Yes ram does not differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.
No, the slots for DDR2 RAM is different from the DDR RAM. You cannot use DDR RAM with DDR2 slot.
