IMMUNITY
Condition of being immune or resistant to a certain disease.
Acquired Immunity
Immunity obtained either from the development of antibodies in response to exposure to an antigen, as from vaccination or an attack of an infectious disease, or from the transmission of antibodies, as from mother to fetus through the placenta or the injection of antiserum.
1. Active Aquired Immunity
Antibodies produced within the body resulted from the exposure to an agent.
a. Natural -immunity developed after the infection to a certain pathogen.
b. Artificial - received from a vaccine.
Vaccine - artificially induced immunity.
A person is deliberately exposed to a harmless pathogen, which will stimulate the person's immune system that may produce a memory to the cell.
Living, inactive and toxin
Tetanus toxoid - altered form of toxin, tetanospasmin.
2. Passive Aquired Immunity
Antibodies that were produced by another person or more, or an animal.

Transferrinmg antibodies from an immune person to a susceptible person
Immune Serum Globulin (ISG) - antibodied taken from the blood of many immune people.

Privileges and Immunities was addressed in the 14th amendment of the Constitution, "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States."

The two types of immunity are natural immunity and acquired immunity. Natural immunity is the ability for the body to fight and prevent illness on its own, acquired immunity needs the help of vaccinations or exposure.
The Privleges and Immunities clause does allow states to draw reasonable distinctions between its own residents and those of other states. This, any state can require that a person living within the state for some time before he or she can vote or hold public office.
