Fully patch the system, if running Windows make sure all MS paches are applied. Google "ewido" and download AVGAS software (it's free) and run it as a cleaner to squash the last bugs. You will get different results with different registry cleaners. There is not best one either, however before making any changes make sure you take a backup. Try to use different tool,I like use the Perfect Optimizer. I think it's useful.
