What are the disadvantages of air transport in Mauritius?

Disadvantages of air travel over other forms of transportation :

• Air travel is relatively expensive compared to ground transportation.
• Your transported items are limited to what can go in your baggage.
• Restrictions may prevent bringing some personal use items.
• Pet travel is more complicated.
• Rental cars for local transportation at your destination are equally expensive.
• Minor medical problems can only be partially addressed during a flight, because there is obviously no way for passengers or materials to enter or leave the plane.
• Weather or flying conditions can impact schedules with little or no notice.

I guess depends where you are traveling from! now if traveling from China and until they have a proper direct flight one has a choice either via Hong Kong or KL making it a long journey with transit time ( at least 12 hours )! with the poor leg room and maintenance of the interior such as movie monitors, clean toilets and so so food depending where flying from etc I'd rather fly with Emirates as totally a different class or Airline and not much more expensive!
