They are beautiful, but alone in the world, they shouldn't exist, they're the offspring of human manipulation, their entire existence is a disadvantage to themselves. They would have clashing instincts if you will, and often then is unintended consequence to the animal.

For example, there was this hybrid of a lion and a tiger (I've forgotten which one was the mother and which was the father.) and at first it was a success. And then because of the large genes of both species, this manipulated offspring grew thrice the size of any tiger or lion. Then, it was too large and heavy to support itself so it died. Sorry if this seems a bit ambiguous but I don't remember too much about this story and there should be more details of this on Nat Geo if you're interested.
