There are not as many as there were in the Articles of Confederation (and all of those in the same time-zone)...

Biggest Advantages: We are no longer unicameral, we are bicameral and we also now have Checks and Balances allowing not just one Branch to have all the power.

Disadvantages: We no longer have all the civil liberties the constitution promises.
