When I first visisted England, I was astonished when people asked for my christian name. It confused me as I did not know what they meant. I could not give them one seeing as I'm not a christian and I come from a country that is more or less religion free, so it really confused me.

What astonished me was they asked it in the first place because I thought England was a secular country. I do hear they are not allowed to ask that any more, they have to ask what your first name is instead. :)
