semi permenant colours will only eneter the cuticle layer, they are not mixed with any form of peroxide there for can not oxidise and enter the cortex. They are a conditioner based colour, improve the condition of the hair and are easily washed out within 6-8 washes. These are great for ading tone and depth to the hair but will not lighten or change the base colour.
