What is the difference between geology and geomorphology?
Geomorphology is subset of geology, you can say that geomorphology is included in geology. Geology is a broad term used for the science which deals with the study of soils, minerals rocks and other features and processes of soils and geomorphology is a subset of geology which concerns with study of morphological features of earth crust or outer physical appearance's of earth crust.
What is the relation between geomorphology and agriculture?
Geomorph deals with the changing of earth's surface which is essential to farming. Hillslope dynamics, soil erosion, water movement both over land during rain, floods, and irrigation purposes... Geomorphology deals with the smallest geologic time scale and can hep you model and predict how a landscape, in this case a farm, will change over time. It helps you understand how the farm will impact the land (lots of soil erosion as run off for example if there's a lot of tilling. This in turn reduces nutrient levels meaning that you need to use more fertilizers, etc.). When partnered with a little plant biology and ecology, geomorphology can immensely improve agricultural land management.
