There are two screws on the front of carb under nameplate. Turn both screw in (clockwise) until they stop. Now turn each screw out 4 1/2 half turns. This is facory and if you make adjustments make sure you adjust each screw equal amounts to keep equal fuel to both sides of engine.

600 cfm no 1406.
I've had good luck with the Edelbrock 1406 right out of the box.
It should be preset from the factory
you will need a different intake manifold from edelbrock or you can get an adapter plate to be able to bolt it on your intake from summit racing.
With stock manifolds I expect this motor would be around 300HP.
There are two excellent pdf's for this carb at summitracing.com.
Factory settings of what?
Or from autozone you can buy a quadra-jet to standard adapter plate if you don't have that edelbrock or if you have a holleythe intake manifold is hopefully what youre talking about and the answer is noAnsweryes you can. if you have a stock intake manifold, which uses a quadrajet carb, you can use edelbrock part number #2696 which you can buy from summit racing (www.summitracing.com). it allows you to use an edelbrock performer square bore carb on the stock quadrajet manifold. for that motor i recommend the edelbrock #1406 which you can also get from summit.
Look on the edelbrock website, i have to replace floats reguarly due to lpg petrol issues on my 350 chev, 7/16th of a inch on the float and 1 inch drop. Easy to do.
that depens if you want the settings or the deffinition
delete everything and restore settings to factory settings
The population of Edelbrock is 722.
