Regular use occurs when the drug is used consistently. Risky use involves using the drug in dangerous situations or in larger amounts. Finally, addiction is characterized by a physical and psychological dependence on the drug.

There are no truly defined "steps" in drug addiction. If you try a certain drug, you may become addicted to THAT drug and may not necessarily move to more harmful drugs. It may also vary depending on the drug. For example, if you start with alcohol as a teenager you may become a drinker, or maybe even an alcoholic, for the rest of your life. If you start with marijuana, you may not become "addicted" per say, but you may become a regular user of the drug. Always remember to use common sense and not do anything dangerous, addictive or stupid. Good luck.
A drug recall would be put into effect because when a drug company has found that a certain drug that they manufacture is either defective in some way or the drug has been contaminated in some way. A drug recall can be mandated by the drug company itself or in some cases a federal entity steps in and orders a drug recall.

If a drug can be found in the human body, then the amount can be calculated to determine if it is an acceptable level or not. If it isn't, steps can be taken to get it out of the body.
