They are very reactive to air and water, they are very soft. and they don't weigh very much
Alkali metal forms Alkali while metals form bases.
Alkali metals
alkali metals
They are all metals. Group 1A metals are all alkali metals and react violently with water in a certain form (I think in their ion form, example: Li^1+). Group 2A are all alkali earth metals and do not react with water. Thats the general properties, obviously there are MANY more similarities but you would have to be more specific if you are looking for something else.😃😀😃😀
Alkali metals are in the first column (group) of the Mendeleev periodic table of elements.
The are the other alkali metals: lithium, potassium, rubidium, caesium.

alkali metals
The elements known as alkali metals are found in group I
their general properties is that they are all non metals
Elements in group 1 are called Alkali Metals, after that group 2 elements are called Alkali Earth Metals, group 3-12 elements are called Transition Elements.

The elements of Group 1 are called the Alkali metals they are: configuration, lithium sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, and francium.
They contain similar properties. For example, in the first colum of the periodic table all contain alkali metals. Alkali metals react with water.
