Don't be fooled by all the gloss Japan has lots of bad points (like all countries), however some good points are.
* Fantastic service (just went to America and it's like a slap in the face compared to Japan's) * Convenience * Great Rail system * Cheap travel (abroad and internally although it can depend on the time of year, and your method of travel)
* Cheap food options * Cheap goods
* Beautiful scenery (in rural areas) * Onsens * Great road system (easy navigation even if you dont read Japanese)
*You always hear about how expensive Japan is but there are often very cheap alternatives and the quality is always good.
