I wondered how the test score would effect my good grades. ____
Yes, but there is no draft going on.
There never has been a pay grade of F2. There is and E2, which stands for Enlisted 2 and there is an O2 which stands for Officer 2 pay grades. This is true for several centuries of the USN.
My brother just started going there and he got a scholarship. I'm pretty sure that it is about 25,000 dollars a year without a scholarship. You have to have pretty good grades to get in and be involved in activities. You have to show leadership skills. I know that this isn't much but I hope it helps.
There is not an average as such. The pay depends on the years of service and the grade (rank). Here is a link to the pay scale. However, since most are lower grades and less than 2 years of service the average will be skewed toward the lower grades and years of service. The lowest is E-1 with less than 2 years service at 1447 a month. But that is offset greatly by all the officers that have been in the service for a long time at the colonel level and above. There are more of those than need be. A colonel with 14 years of service is o-6 and makes 7538 a month. So let's guess the average is about 1/3 the distance between the two. Or about 3477 per month, 41724 a year.
