Both were conducted by AIRCRAFT.

Both brought the US into GLOBAL WAR; World War II & The Global "WAR ON TERRORISM."
Differences:
1. December 7, was NOT a suicide attack by aircraft, but a conventional air raid (aerial attack). September 11, WAS a suicide attack by aircraft.
2. December 7, was an attack by Japanese WARPLANES. September 11, was an attack by OUR OWN CIVILIAN Airplanes (Hi-jacked/Captured).
3. December 7, was an attack by HUNDREDS of aircraft. September 11, was an attack by only 3 or 4 aircraft (two into the World Trade Center buildings; one into the Pentagon, and one into an open field).
4. December 7, was an attack by Aircraft Carrier Launched Airplanes; September 11, was an attack by Land Based (Civilian) Aircraft.
