A vegetarian diet consists of no meat or dairy or eggs, so it may lack vital nutrients such as protein, calcium, and certain vitamins like b6 and b12, which are really only commonly found in animal products.

Many of these nutrients can be found in vegetarian-okay foods or supplements, though.
