Americans have lived up to the five ideals because of the freedom and equality we have today
A creed is a difficult concept to explain. To put it simply, a creed is a statement of belief. It is usually a single phrase that sums up what every member of your order must believe in. For instance, the Assassin Order's creed would be, "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted." A political creed, in that sense, would be the same thing, but it would describe something about government or nations. The American Creed is an example of a political creed, of which is: "I believe in the United States of America, as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed..." it goes on from there, but I think you get the point.
Reminding us of the ideals our country was brought up on and to keep these ideals going everyday, and reminding us for what soldiers are fighting for -these ideals-.
Up to you.

I don't know what ideals "America" holds as that is a lot of very different people. I find that America falls short on many of its ideals, but at least we have some and many of us do our best to live up them.
The "great American" referred to by Martin Luther King Jr. in his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech is often interpreted as the founding fathers and the ideals of American democracy, particularly figures like Abraham Lincoln. King invoked this concept to emphasize the need for America to live up to its promises of equality and justice for all citizens, particularly African Americans. By referencing this "great American," he highlighted the ongoing struggle to fulfill the nation's foundational ideals.
there is not one but you can make it up.
While one may have high ideals, what he may do in actual practice may show that he is not always capable of living up to those high ideals.
