Six's maximum and minimum thermometer is a popularthermometer . Its purpose is to recordthe maximum and minimum temperatures reached since the thermometer was last read. Generally speaking a minimum temperatureoccurs during the night and amaximumduring the day.. It is interesting to note that Six's maximum and minimum thermometers were still being used in 2000 of exactly the samedesign and construction as ones produced over 100 years ago. Gardeners use max-min thermometers in the greenhouse and the garden to check minimum temperatures during the cold months when frost can be a problem and to check the maximum temperature during the daytime.Gardeners use max-min thermometers in the greenhouse and the garden to check minimum temperatures during the cold months when frost can be a problem and to check the maximum temperature during the daytime.

Six's maximum and minimum thermometer is a popularthermometer among gardeners for use in greenhouses. Its purpose is to record the maximum and minimum temperatures reached since the thermometerwas last read. Generally speaking a minimumtemperature occurs during the night and amaximumduring the day. It was invented by James Six towards the end of the eighteenth century, and consists of a fairly large cylindrical bulb full of alcohol, or oil of creosote, connected by a U- shaped stem to a second bulb nearly full of alcohol or oil of creosote. The bend of the U contains athread of mercury. Two scales are provided, one against each limb of the tube so that thetemperature may be read against either of themercury levels. Resting on each of the mercurysurfaces are small steel indexes provided with light springs to hold them in position in the stem.Expansion or contraction of the fluid in the larger bulb causes a movement of themercury thread. Consequently, one or other index is pushed forward by the mercuryand left in the extreme position reached. Thus, the lower end of the index on the left indicates the minimum and that on the right themaximum temperatureattained. It is interesting to note that Six's maximum and minimum thermometers were still being used in 2000 of exactly the same design and construction as ones produced over 100 years ago.
-40 = 8-6s -40 - 8 = 6s -48 = 6s 8 = s
6th energy level can hold 72 electrons. (has s,p,d,f,g, and h subshells)
-6s+10 = -5s 5s-6s = -10 -s = -10 s = 10
6s, 12s, 18s, 24s, 30s, 36s and so on.
This question is tricky because distance and location are not well defined within the electron cloud. So for the sake of explanation, let us assume that the question is "Which has a region maximum probability closest to the nucleus?" I could not find an answer in print for the 4f vs 6s. However, I did find an answer comparing the 3d and 4s. I believe that an understanding of a comparison between the 3d and 4s can be extended to a comparison between the 4f and 6s. The most probable distance of the 3d is less than the 4s. Therefore, we could extend this and say that most likely the 4f sublevel would have a distance of maximum probability closer than the 6s. You did not ask why so I will not go into an explanation.
The minimum size you can use is 3/4 conduit. The code allows for a maximum of 4 each # 6 gauge wires in a 3/4 inch pipe. You'll likely be running 3 ea # 6s, two hots and the neutral and a #10 ground wire.
