You're really not going to find anything which is going to be significant to the value of the rifle on the M59 or M59/66. Those that saw service during the Yugoslav wars of the 90s may have some markings indicating which side used it, whether through metal pressing or hand carving (the latter is typically on the buttstock), but the only thing that'll really increase the value significantly is if you have an M59 in decent condition (the M59 was more closely patterned after the Russian SKS, and doesn't have the grenade launcher or gas cutoff valve), or an M59/66 in unissued condition.

What is value of sks?

Value of ANY gun is based on exact make, model, and condition. A well worn Yugo SKS may be $150, while a pristine Russian SKS is $500. An average Chinese SKS is around $250-$275.

Can you put a tapco t6 stock on your yugo sks 5966?

With enough money and a talented gunsmith, yes.

What is a fair price on a yugo sks?

$250 - $500, depending on condition, with the $500 range being for one in unissued condition.

Can a yugo sks clip go incide a norinco type m sks?

Are you talking about the clip to load rounds into the magazine, or the magazine itself? It is a magazine, not a clip.. In regards to the clip, the answer will be yes. In regards to the magazine, the answer is no - the SKS-M uses a detachable AK magazine.

How much does an SKS rifle cost?

$150 - $1300, depending on specifics. You could get a non-matching Yugo for between $150 - $250, whereas the much rarer North Korean SKS would be closer to the $1100 - $1300 range.

Where are the importer marks on a Russian sks?

It must have the importer's name and location.

How much is the SKS serial number D80156 worth?

Depends on country of manufacture and condition. I am not aware of any publicly available serial number lists for any of the SKS manufacturers, so that is not a helpful bit of info. Russian SKS carbines are the most valuable at this point, with some in excellent condition reaching $400. They are followed by Chinese and Yugoslavian. A beatup Yugo with a rusted gas valve will fetch $100 on a good day.

How do you ID a Yugo 762 rifle?

If your asking about a Yugoslavian SKS 7.62 x 39, then these are some things to help identify one. All Yugo's have a grenade launcher on the end of the barrel just after the sight. They also have a blade-type bayonet unlike the Chinese which have a spike-type bayonet. Don't go by just the bayonet though because the Russian SKS has a blade-type bayonet also. Also, in between the sight and the gas tube on the top of the gun, they have a flip-up sight for the grenade-launcher. Hope this helps.

Why will your Yugo SKS only cycle the Monarch lacquered steel case ammo?

The Yugo version of the SKS MAY have a grenade launcher, and a gas shut off valve that is used when launching rifle grenades. That valve is well known to wear and erode, which results in some gas leaking when weapon is fired. If so, it may only cycle with "hotter" ammo. Try cleaning the weapon chamber thoroughly, ensure that the gas port is clear, weapon properly lubed- and visit website for suplusrifle.com for some info on dealing with the gas shut off valve.

Ihave a yugo sks with fixed 10ROUND MAG DO YOU HAVE TO MODIFY ANYTHING ON THE RIFLE FOR IT TO TAKE A DETACHABLE MAG I HAVE A DETACHABLE MAG ALREADY HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE FIXED MAG?

No mods are needed to take the other mags, just tear the rifle down, when you do this the stock 10 round mag will fall out! then put it back together and your new mag will fit but, keep in mind the sks is not made to have detach mag!

What weapons were used in the bosnian war?

To be honest there were a hodge podge of arms used, standard yugo versions of the Ak-47 (M70, M72, M76), Even old WWII and WWI surplus, SKS M59/66, Mauser Variants, Mosin holdovers etc. If it was there it was used.

What is a m21 sks rifle worth?

No country which manufactured the SKS gave it the nomenclature of M21. The only country which applied an "M" number which I can think of offhand was Yugoslavia, who designated theirs M59, and M59/66 for rifles which had the 22mm grenade launcher fitting. Yugo SKS rifles can go from $150 - $500, with the latter price being for an unfired, unissued rifle. SKS rifles in general can go from $100 - $1300, depending on the exact model and country of manufacture (Vietnamese and North Korean rifles have the highest value, being the most rare). You can send photos of the rifle and markings to my email (listed on my profile page), and we can determine the exact model and value from there, if you wish.
