A material which process very good adhesive and cohesive properties which make it possible to bend with other material to form a compact mass. for the manufacturing of cement the calcareous argillaceous and gypsum is required. Lime stone,marble,coral rock,and chemically CaCo3, are the ex of calcareous.

simillary clay,slate,shale,Al2O3,SiO2, are ex of argillaceous.

Limestone, shale, iron ore and sand. Grind it all together super fine and heat to about 2700 degrees F. and then grind the resulting "clinker" together with gypsum. That is basic Portland cement.

The primary ingredients derived from those constituents are: calcium oxide, silicon, aluminum oxide and iron oxide. Some limestones alone contain all of the necessary ingredients.
