many people went to the northern parts to look for jobs. many people had jobs at farms and ranches,others also if they got lucky they worked in construction sites. and others if they had family they went to live with them
The Salinas valley back in 1930 was very poor and had no money are food the had to work for their living. The people worked in ranches and even in factories. They were so poor they wore the same clothes. That is my answer to the question if you have anymore ideas add to it.
