a class is a category showing an entire species in general, and a family is a category showing a specific group of organisms and their family tree
As you know the taxonomy levels are broken up into the 7 levels: Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus and Species. there are however a few other groups that can be added for example the "Super Kingdoms" and the "Sub Phylum" and "Sub Classes" The "Super Kingdoms" are Bacteria, Archae and Eukarya. Im not sure what goes into the "Sub Phylum" or "Sub Classes" category. i hope i helped
Biological classification consists of seven main taxonomic ranks. These are: Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species. Each of these ranks groups organisms based on shared characteristics in a hierarchical manner.
The next broader classification above species is the genus. Genera are groups of species that share common characteristics and are closely related. Genera are grouped together into families, which are then further grouped into orders, classes, phyla, and kingdoms in the hierarchical classification system.
Phylum includes the least variety of organisms. It is a higher taxonomic rank that groups together related classes and is below the domain and kingdom levels.
A cladogram is used to sort species into different genus groups and classes.

living thing have scientific names so you can identify the many different species around the world first they are put into kingdoms then classes then phylums the families then groups then species.
* in the years around 1980 there was an emphasis on emphylogeny and redefining the kingdoms monophyletic groups, groups made up of relatively closely related organisms. * in biology species is one of the basic units of biological classification. * a genus is a low-level taxonomic rank used in the classification of living and fossil organisms. * in biological classification, family is a
One common way to remember the five kingdoms is by using the acronym "DREAMS," which stands for Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species. The five kingdoms are Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista, and Monera. Another way is to remember the mnemonic "Dear King Philip Came Over For Good Soup" which represents Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species.
No, family and species are not the same. In the classification system, species is the most specific level and represents individual organisms that share similar traits and can interbreed. Family is a higher taxonomic rank that groups similar species together based on a common ancestor.
