I am pretty sure it is right above passenger side floorboard, up in dash. I have changed heater cores in Ford vehicles, and all of them were above floorboard on passenger side. Locate the heater core, and it should have water lines running into and out of the core. Use wrench, and take lines off of core, buy new core, and replace lines into new core.
if you look from the rear of the vehicle on the underneath, the fuel filter is on the passenger side above the rear beam. It has 3 fule lines that connect into it and requires a quick disconnect tool to remove the fuel lines.
Lines running between two poles are called Semicircles
Your pickup is a fuel-injected vehicle versus an old carburetor type. By running the vehicle out of fuel, you have air in the fuel lines and the injectors. The fuel pump cannot push out the air which is causing your problem. I'm sure that if you had a repair manual, it would explain the proper procedure for bleeding the fuel lines. The same problem occurs with diesel engines as well.
