Almost 100% of the ST6 shooters came from the SEAL Teams whilst Delta is comprised of personnel from the Ranger Regiment, Special Forces, the conventional Army, as well as even members of other military branches (there have even been ST6 members who have vetted for Delta over the years), while For Delta, the majority come from the 75th and SF; two VERY distinct units with completely different missions and cultures.

Is their such thing as delta force from modern warfare 3 in the real us army?

Yes. 1st SFOD-D, or Special Forces Operational Detatchment-Delta is one of the US military's highly secretive Tier 1 special missions unit. It is also known as Delta Force. Delta Force is also known to go go by the names CAG(Combat Applications Group) and ACE(Army Compartmented Elements). Delta Force is one of the two premier counter-terrorism units in the US. The other one is Naval Special Warfare Development Group, also known as DEVGRU/ Navy SEAL team six. Delta Force is based off of Britians SAS. Delta Force's main tasks are -Counter-terrorism -Direct Action -Hostage Rescue -Raids and many other duties. Delta Force recruits from the US army special operation units such as the Army Rangers and the Army Special Forces(also known as the Green Berets). Recruits must have a certain amount of experience and a certain rank to be considered for selection. Recruits are then sent through an extremely grueling month long selection. 90% of the candidates will fail selection. Keep in mind, these soldiers are already special operations and yet 90% still fail Delta Force selection. If the recruit succesfully completes selection, they are sent to the Operator Training Course(OTC). At OTC they are trained in -Marksmanship to 100% accuracy. They train with real rounds. Then, they practice clearing rooms, shooting at targets. After that, they practice clearing rooms with hostages. Afterwards, they use real people playing the parts of hostages. That means Rectruits will stand in front of the targets as their fellow recruits will enter the room and shoot the terrorists. It is possible for the Recruits playing the parts of hostages to get shot as they are using real bullets. -Demolitions-Recruits will learn how to build bombs, and break into safes and cars. -Combined Skills-Delta Force recruits practice hostage rescue in aircraft and other scenarios. -Spying-CIA teach Delta Force recruits spying techniques such as surveillance and counter-surveillance and other things. -VIP protection. Delta recruits learn to protect VIPs. The US secret service teaches them this. After all this training, recruits have one final excercise that combines everything they know. Delta Force also cross-trains with foreign special forces units such as Britains SAS, Canada's JTF-2, and Australias SASR etc. Look up Delta Force on Wikipedia for all of their operations and history. All of the information I got was from there.

What is delta force protection?

Force Protection Delta, or FPCON Delta, is a threat level indicator where a terrorist attack has just occurred, is currently taking place, or is highly imminent based on recent intelligence. The FPCON levels are similar to the Defense Readiness Condition, or DECFON, levels. The main difference between these two systems are that the DEFCON system deals with military readiness against threats to the public while the FPCON system is specific to threats against the military.

What is better delta force or task force?

Delta force, officailly known as "1st special forces operational detachment delta" is a tier one special operations unit, they take on the most difficult, and sensitive assingments the U.S. Army runs into, or creates. All Delta force opratives are highly trained, and are coursed in advanced driving, sharp shooting, advanced sniping, advanced hand to hand combat, free running, explosive ordnace desposal and retrival, evasion, escape, and survivail trianing, and much much more, they practice surgical and spontanious raids with live ammunition to build trust and comfort with one another, and are taught how to make powerfull explosive, and balistic devices out of everday objects and materials. A task force is a temporary unit or team (often comprised of operators from several different units including Delta force, and its Navy and Air force counter parts: DEVGRU, and the 24th special tactics squadron) that is formed to focus on a specific task (usually huning down and killing a specific individual), once that task is completed, the task focre is dissolved and the operators go back to theirs respective units. Most task forces that are comprised of tier one operators are totally classified and are never publicly referd to, but there are a few currently active ones that you can find a suprising amount of information on, one of them being task force 121, which operates in Iraq and Afganistan, you see, the U.S. usaully does'nt mind admitting to killing terrorists. It's hard to say whats better, a task force, or Delta force. Delta force is probbably going have more operators than a task force, but the task force is going to have operators from all kinds of different units, which could be a nice feture (why send in teir one guys to stop a convoy when you have some Army Rangers in your tool box.). And a task force is going to be able to develop a much better network of awearness over a certin theater of war becuase it is constaintly getting heads ups, tips, leads, and all sorts of information from the Navy, Army, Airforce, CIA, NSA, and other military branches and intellagence orginizations from Britian, Canada, New zealand, Australia, ect. Delta force would'nt have that scale of "information share" their main source is the Army's intellagence department.
