Only one, the Nile Delta. This consists of a large number of branches of the river Nile as it spreads out in a fan shape at its northern end, just before it reaches the Mediterranean Sea. The courses of these branches have changed considerably over time.
The Nile River Delta is one of the world's largest river deltas, at about 99 miles long and covering 150 miles of Mediterranean coastline. It is formed in Lower (Northern) Egypt where the river spreads out and drains into the Mediterranean Sea. The area has been intensively farmed for at least the last 5000 years. There are two many branches: the Damietta and the Rosetta; the Rosetta Stone was found in the Delta in 1799 near Rosetta. About half of Egypt's population live in the Delta, around 40 million people.

Nile Delta
Cairo is located on the banks and islands of the Nile River in the north of Egypt, immediately south of the point where the river leaves its valley and breaks into two branches into the low-lying Nile Delta region.
That means the delta of the Nile River.
The Delta is formed by the division of the branches of the River Nile as it flows south through the Valley formed by the Nile in Upper Egypt. The river branches spread out in a V-shaped fan and make their way towards the Mediterranean through Lower Egypt. The Delta begins north of Cairo. In ancient times the Nile flood deposited layers of silt in this area, making the deltaic fan expand from east to west and push out into the sea. The construction of the Aswan dam has limited this expansion in modern times and the earlier seven to five branches of the Nile and distributaries have been reduced to two main branches, the Rosetta (Rashid on the west) and the Damietta (Dumyat on the east).
