There are no "holidays" in Tenrikyo, however, there are dates recognized throughout the year that followers make an effort to attend at the Jiba or a location in Tenri City, Nara, where followers believe that human beings were first created. These events are primarily held at the Tenrikyo Church Headquarters which surrounds the Jiba; however, people in locations outside of Japan participate in monthly services at their local church and mission headquarters.
