It seems that problems Christians face are the same that Jesus faced. When you know that you know the truth, but non believers insist you do not, it can be frustrating, Sometimes Christians are ridiculed for believing in something that cannot be seen in the natural, of course this is what faith is.

answerThe major problem of Christianity today is the internet. The Church (and other faiths too) can no longer bind it's follower in ignorance.. to follow blindly. answerChristians don't get the freedom to speak their beliefs without being ridiculed. Anyone else can speak however they want but Christians don't have rights anymore.

The struggle over truth & obedience to the truth. The greatest threat is from within by those who are false brethren who pervert the gospel & lure weak & gullible people into believing those lies.

I think it is very obvious what the biggest problem of early Christianity is. it is from trouble within and without of the church. Religion today is a power play because it involves money. During the time of Jesus people were called by revelation. ( John 15: 16) They did not receive compensation for their work. (1 Corinthians 9:18) Although you will have many say the opposite. But I want you to point out the mansion Jesus lived in and the mansions his apostles lived in.

Plus, Jesus organized His church in a specific way and for what reason did he organize it the way he did? If I were looking for Christ's church what is the first thing I would look for? what does your church consist of how would I recognize it from any other church?

In Ephesians 2: 19-20, Paul explains that Christ's church is built upon the foundation of apostles and prophets and Christ is the chief corner stone. So, I look for a church with apostles and prophets. Then in Ephesians 4:11-14, he shows the church he organized again with the apostles and prophets the foundation. Then Paul points out why it is organized that way and how long this organization has to exist.

I would suggest you read the scriptures for yourself so I don't have to write them and then you will know for yourself rather then me telling you.

Then in 1 Corinthians 12: 28, Paul explains again what the church consists of in organization. But before that in verses 12-28, Paul explains why you can't eliminate any of the offices Christ put into the church.

After the apostles are dead and the prophets are no longer to be found what do you find taking the place of the church Christ organized? After a big battle between the groups fighting for legitimacy to be Christ's church what emerges? A completely different organization then the original. No longer are apostles and prophets the foundation. Check the history and find out for yourself what replaced Christ's church.

And from then on it is all down hill until what we have today some thousands of called churches claiming to be the church Christ organized and sanctions.

What we would have have to believe about these organizations of different churches is, Jesus didn't know much about organizing a church and really was looking forward to the time man could come in and do a better job then he at organizing a church for the people.

Paul warned us (Acts 20:28-30) of the dangers of coming years when he said, 28. Take heed therefore unto yourselves and all the flock, the Holy Ghost has made you overseers to feed the church of God which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29. For I know this that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30. Also of your own selves shall men arise speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

This is just one of many scriptures that make us aware that what is happening today in religious matters. There are many others that are even more in depth then this one but i use this one to show how Paul is telling us what is in the future for the church.

Now what does this mean? It means that we need to search the scriptures to find the truth. Just perusing them is not studying them. John 5:39, Jesus makes it very clear what we need to do to not be deceived Search the scriptures.

When i see people making millions of dollars off the gospel, for their own pockets and how they have the best of everything I look back at Christ and wonder where Christ taught that doctrine of greed. I see one minster with a twenty million dollar air plane plus, other not so expensive air planes and wonder.

But as in anything we need to search and find the truths and separate the truths from the lies and errors that exist in the religious world.

For centuries, Christians could be absolutely confident that the faith chosen for them by their forebears was the absolute and unchallengeable truth. Now, in the twenty-first century, this truth is being challenged. Many people have begun to realise that there is no proof that God exists or that Jesus was the Son of God. It is no longer possible to strike up a conversation about religion and be confident that the other person shares the Christian viewpoint.

This, of course, was not a problem for the pagans of Roman times. If someone else worshipped a different set of gods, it was of only passing interest. That was a time of greater diversity and tolerance than the Christian era, and there was little interest in having everyone hold the same beliefs. However, it is a culture shock, or a problem, for some Christians that there are rational and intelligent people who know the Christian religion yet reject it as untrue or irrelevant.
