Sterling silver rings are usually marked "sterling" or "925." Gold is usually marked with the karat, such as 10k, 14k, etc., but may also be marked 916 (22k), 750 (18k), 585 (14k), 417 (10k). European marks can also be 375 or 333, 9 8k respectively.

18KT means its made in 18 karat gold. "karat", with a "k" is used to describe the purity of gold. Gold is often alloyed with silver, copper, and/or other metals to improve its strength and durability. Products made from gold are marked to show how much actual gold is contained in the product. It doesnt matter what stone it has its the amount of gold present in the ring.

I think it was in 1906 Gold and Silver began stamping, as required. Later the law was amended to add Gold and Silver would now have to show its content, i.e.: 10kt, 14kt, 18kt, etc. or .925, .800, etc.

You can get it in Johto by coming 1st in the National Park's Bug catching competition, You can also get it by winning events in the Pokeathlon Dome In Kanto, one way to get it is to show Bill a Marril In Heart Gold, or show him a Staryu in Soul Silver Or you could just wait for the Girl on Route 42 to ring you (if you have her number) she gives you items, mainly evolution stones.

Probably to hint on the realese of Pokemon heart gold and soul silver. It could also tell us that the gold, silver, crystal games took place at around the same time.

If you are positive the ring is gold, the 901 could refer to either the stock number of the jeweler or a rather unusual gold content measurement. The number 916 or 917 indicates 22-karat gold (91.6% gold). So, 901 could be 90.1% gold. However, if you are not positive the ring is gold, this is likely to be the quality stamp to indicate the amount of platinum used in the band. "IridPlat" or ".90Plat/Ir" is used to show the band is 90% pure platinum.

Mainly because rings were first used to show signs of love, rather than fashion, therefore, they wanted the ring to look flashy, and have value. Gold was most popular, because of it's high value, rings then started to be made silver, fake, etc because of more fashion reasons.

There is no hallmark for Gemstones , only for the gold or silver content. A Gemologist has to certify Gemstones.

The abbreviation "sts" on the inside of a ring stands for "sterling silver."It is not my understanding that this is an approved stamp for sterling silver. Jewelry that is sterling silver can be marked sterling ster. or 925 and up to show the content of the sterling per other metals. STS is a jewelry company that has a New york, Canadian, and foreign base. So likely the ring is a maker's mark.

An engagement ring is traditionally given from a man to a woman, to show his intention to marry her. Traditionally the man will kneel down on one knee, and present her with a ring and ask "will you marry me?" Engagement rings are made of metal, and usually have a clear diamond or many diamonds in it. Traditional metals that are used are yellow gold, white gold or platinum.

You land on Buenos Aires, and go left all the way, until you see this big gold robot. Click on the gold rings, under the clock, and turn them. The outer ring will be ring 1. The middle ring will be ring 2. The ring in the middle will be ring 3. First, click the 1. Then the 3. Then the 2. That's it! You'll get a ticket for Kerplunk. Kerplunk is pretty much Wipeout. It's extremely fun to play!

True sterling silver will not leave green marks on your finger. Sterling from North America is fine silver ( .999 pure) a .925 % and copper makes of the rest of the alloy. Other locations will ofter mix fine silver with nickel. I assume whatever metal your ring is made of it oxidizing and the oxidation is rubbing off onto your skin causing a green mark to show.

It can be Rhodium plated to give it the appearance of white gold. However, over time this plating will wear off and the original yellow gold will begin to show through and you will have to get it re-plated. Contact your local jeweler for more information.
