The different covers such as the apple, the flower, the ribbon and the Chess piece each are a symbol of something significant in each story, also they represent Bella. for example, the apple in Edward's hands is Bella represented ad being with Edward and being safe. the flower is for when she gets involved with Jacob who is a wolf as flowers are luring. The ribbon is representing broken relationships and the chess piece (the king) shows victory or congratulation of some kind since Bella got what she wanted and won.
