Two twin size mattresses can easily be joined using a create-a-king twin doubling system. The create-a-king essentially belts the two twin mattresses securely together and it also has a foam filler for the "crack" between the two mattresses. Now, the two twin mattresses won't be quite as long as a standard king size. Standard king size beds measure approximately 80" long, while standard twin beds measure 75" long. This should really be no problem and you can usually still use king size mattress pads and sheets. You can also use a regular king size metal bed frame for the two twin box springs.
A queen topper is a padding for a queen mattress. It is different from a king topper because it is a different size.
A king size bedding is approximately 16 inches wider than a queen size bedding. A king size is 76" wide by 80" long, while the queen is 60" wide by 80" long.
