Answer:

Nearly one-third of the Bible is prophecy. Yet, it's not written like an encyclopedia where prophecies are categorically defined. God's prophecies are scattered throughout the Old Testament.

While some books sport the prophet's name... these are the easy ones to spot.

However, prophecies are found in the Books of Moses and the Psalms as well. As Jesus told His disciples: "...all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, CONCERNING ME." (Luke 24:44)

God made it so that His Truth would have to be studied, dug into and discovered like a priceless treasure. Otherwise, if it's only read in snippets... the big picture God's Word paints remains hidden and the reader misses the treasure.

"...the Word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken." (Isa.28:13)

Book of Daniel and Revelation

Answer:

According to Jesus Christ... prophecies are scattered throughout the entire Bible:

"...that all things [prophecies] MUST BE FULFILLED, which were written in THE LAW OF MOSES, and IN THE PROPHETS, and IN THE PSALMS, CONCERNING ME." (Luke 24:44 KJV)

What's called the "Old Testament" today was all of the Scriptures when Jesus walked the earth in the flesh, and that the apostles knew. And what's called the "New Testament" is the quoting of the "Old Testament" Scriptures... onlyilluminated by the Holy Spirit and Understood in the hearts and minds of God's servants.

"Then opened He their Understanding, that they might Understand the Scriptures..." (verse 45).
