Baru Baru/Baru Laut (Malay) Features: Yellow, five petals, dark brown corolla with dark red stigma.The yellow flowers blossom in the morning after sunrise,and turn orangey brown later in the evening.

This is a fast growing tree commonly grows along the seashore and back mangroves. Some other flowering trees include Tembusu (Fagraea fragrans), Tiger Orchid, Grammatophyllum, Vanda Miss Joaquim etc.
