The modern day Prophets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) from 1830 to 2010 have been:
Joseph Smith, Jr.
Brigham Young
John Taylor
Wilford Woodruff
Lorenzo Snow
Joseph F. Smith
Heber J. Grant
George Albert Smith
David O. McKay
Joseph Fielding Smith
Harold B. Lee
Spencer W. Kimball
Ezra Taft Benson
Howard W. Hunter
Gordon B. Hinckley
Thomas S. Monson
The members of the First Presidency and Twelve Apostles are also considered prophets, but there have been too many to list here.
Most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) are fine with being called "Mormon", however some are offended by the term and prefer to be called "LDS" or "Latter-day Saint" because the full name of their church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". Other than that, call them by their names!
Jennette McCurdy is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS or Mormon)
There are many more than 12 prophets in the Bible. If, however, you are asking what the names are of the twelve minor prophets, they are:HoseaJoelAmosObadiahJonahMicahNahumHabakkukZephaniahHaggaiZechariahMalachi
Do you mean "some other" instead of "smothered"?"Mormon" actually is the other name. Mormon is a nickname given to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was originally meant as a derogatory nickname, mocking their belief in the Book of Mormon, but it was soon embraced by members and the church as an acceptable shortened title. Although the church and most members do prefer to be called by the names of "Latter-day Saints" or "LDS" as it is more descriptive of their faith, "Mormon" is acceptable and more widely known.
Most of the unique words in the Book of Mormon are proper names. These words are not in common use in the English language, aside from a few cities and towns which were founded by Mormons and given these names. For example: Nephi, Lehi, Cumorah, Manti, or Moroni. The word "Mormon" comes from the Book of Mormon, and is probably the most used unique Book of Mormon word in the English language. Another unique word in the Book of Mormon is 'Deseret' which means honeybee. The word Deseret is often used in businesses or organizations owned by Mormons or the Mormon church - for example, Deseret Book, Deseret Industries, Deseret Ranch, and Deseret Transportation.
I to not recognize either of these names and I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 55 years. I am not an expert my any means. I just try to stay close to the Gospel Of Christ. If someone can actually link these names or items to the Church - I would love to learn. Freedom4u

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) believe that the Church is lead by Jesus Christ through modern prophets. The first of these prophets was Joseph Smith. After the Church was officially organized in 1830, he was the president of the Church until his murder in 1844. After he was murdered there was some controversy over who should succeed him, until Brigham Young was appointed the president after the Church had arrived in Salt Lake City in 1847. Brigham Young died in 1877, and John Taylor was appointed Church president in 1880. After John Taylor's death in 1887, Wilford Woodruff served until 1898. At Wilford Woodruff's death, Lorenzo Snow became president. He died in 1901. Church presidents during the 1900's and 2000's are: Joseph F. Smith (1901-1918) Heber J. Grant (1918 - 1945) George Albert Smith (1945 - 1951) David O. McKay (1951 - 1970) Joseph Fielding Smith (1970 - 1972) Harold B. Lee (1972 - 1973) Spencer W. Kimball (1973 - 1985) Ezra Taft Benson (1985 - 1994) Howard W. Hunter (1994 - 1995) Gordon B. Hinckley (1995-2008) Thomas S. Monson (2008 to present)
Not sure especially that the explicit mentioned names are different from one Bible to another.More information:No. Many other names are mentioned in the Bible in addition to the names of prophets. One more informationIn Quran, Muslims holy book, 25 prophets are mentioned by name although said in Quran that many other prophets are there but not mentioned by name in Quran. refer to related question below for the names of those 25 prophets.
Actually, "Mormon" is the other name. The official name of the Church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Church members prefer to be called "Latter-day Saints" or "LDS". "Mormon" is a nickname given to them by those who oppose the Church.
