Windows 98 home publishing is for Windows 98. Windows 98 programs don't work well on Windows XP sometimes.
There are no unique features of Windows 98, nothing is unique about Windows 98.
Neither one is a particular computer (they are manufacturers, not model names), and neither has a product lineup solely compatible or incompatible with Windows 98. IBM made several workstations with PowerPC processors that obviously cannot run Windows 98, and newer Macs have Intel processors that can run Windows 98, though the hardware is not fully compatible.
Type regedit into the search bar under the Start menu. Open the program that comes up, and you see a list of folders. Screensavers will be found under: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Screensavers.
Windows 98 can be installed on a FAT16 or FAT32 partition (FAT32 is the best choice for disks larger than 512 MB, and supports long file names better).
Windows 98 does not include a firewall.
